What are Class Archetypes?Įach base class draws upon a central ideal, a basic concept. Unlike base classes, characters must meet specific requirements (see each prestige class for details) before they can take their first level of a prestige class.
Prestige classes allow characters to become truly exceptional, specializing in and gaining powers beyond the ken of their peers. If you want to optimize your character and party, we suggest you check out our Builds section. Additionally, you may want to opt for unique schools of magic based on Role-Play or simple preference. Certain Races may have better affinity to specific Classes and Archetypes, for example.
